Active Learning Institute “Fall Into STEAM” workshop brings new opportunities to after school programs

JENNINGS – The St. Louis County Department of Public Health is partnering with the Active Learning Institute.

On Saturday, Sept. 29th from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm, the Active Learning Institute will be hosting a workshop designed to help after school program workers integrate STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics) into their daily activities.

Active Learning Institute representatives will also be making several different presentations at the event.

“Integrating STEAM in after school programs is vital for students fo all ages,” said St. Louis County Executive Steve Stenger. “STEAM provides students an opportunity to enrich their minds while giving them information about possible careers.”

The Missouri 4-H Robotics Program, ST. Louis County Department of Public Health and Ancient Engineering will be presenting lectures and hands-on workshops throughout the day. Each presentation will provide educators with new and innovative ways to engage students during after school activities.
