Armstrong Teasdale elects Braswell as managing partner

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The law firm, Armstrong Teasdale, announced the election of David W. Braswell as managing partner of the firm on Friday.

Braswell, a partner in the firm’s Corporate Services practice group where he served as the leader for nine years, joined Armstrong Teasdale in 1995 and has been active in firm management for over a decade.

Involved in various high-profile mergers and acquisitions nationwide, Braswell’s legal practice includes serving as lead counsel to corporations and their board of directors, providing guidance on transactional and compliance issues while also helping them shape and execute their plans and goals.

“I am honored that my partners have entrusted me to serve the firm as managing partner,” Braswell said. “We have experienced strong growth in the past year with the opening of new offices and addition of new clients.”

For the past eight years, Braswell served as a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. He was also a key role in the opening of the firm’s New York office in January 2019. Currently, he is active in both legal and charitable communities, serving on the board of directors of Peak Resorts, Inc.

A graduate of Stanford Law School, Braswell received his B.S. from Washington University St. Louis. He is admitted to practice law in Missouri, Illinois and New York, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. He is a member of The Missouri Bar, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Lous (BAMSL) the Illinois State Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

For over a decade, Braswell has been ranked in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business because of his “depth and corporate experience.” He has also been recognized on a regular basis by other industry organizations.

Formerly, Braswell was a member of the board of directors of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation-St. Louis Chapter and the St. Louis Sports Commissioner.
