Clayton Shaw Park Ice Rink ready for the holiday festivities

CLAYTON, Mo. – Get into the holiday spirit starting on Friday with outdoor skating at Shaw Park Ice Rink.

The Rink is scheduled to open Friday, Nov. 23rd at 12:00 pm through Sunday, Feb. 24th as long as weather permits.

Public Skate hours are Friday from 5:00 pm to 10:30 pm; Saturday from 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm and Sunday from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Special Holiday hours are different, so be sure to check the schedule for updates. For Ice Rink admission prices and skate rentals, click here.

During the holiday season, guests of the Rink can sign up for skating lessons or stick and puck, host skating parties and participate in Rink Events. To register for skating lessons, click here.

Skating lessons begin on Saturday, Nov. 24th for individuals to begin conquering the ice. Lessons are available for youth to adult ages and are broken down into age and skill levels.

There will be designated Stick and Puck times at the Rink with goals placed at each end for individuals to practice their puck handling skills. Pick up games and slap shots are not permitted and helmets are required. Registration is not needed, but daily admission fees do apply. Stick and Puck times vary depending on age, check the schedule for specific days and times.

Parties at the Shaw Park Ice Rink can be scheduled in 2-hour blocks during most Public Skating sessions. The special party will include the use of a private room with tables, chairs and admissions with skate rental for up to 20 people at a rate of $120 for residents; $140 for corporate or $160 for non-residents. More people can be added to the party for an additional $5 per person. Party hosts can bring their own food, drink and cake. The Rink will be kicking off winter in style with Olaf and Elsa at the Snowman Skate on Friday, Dec. 7th from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm with a fireworks show at 8:00 pm. On Saturday, Jan. 25th, local youth hockey teams will square off at an outdoor arena for Winter Classic.
