Forces on the Fairways foundation to hold free golf during Ballwin Veterans Appreciation Day

BALLWIN – Nonprofit organization, Forces on the Fairways foundation, announced its partnership with the City of Ballwin on Wednesday to hold a day of golf and fun.

Forces on the Fairways aims to make golf more accessible for veterans and Ballwin Veterans Appreciation Day on Saturday, May 25th, will work to do just that.

Ballwin Veterans Appreciation Day is free and open to the public of all ages. Veterans will be able to play golf for free as long as the sign up with the Ballwin Golf Course by Saturday, May 11th. To sign up, call (636) 227-1750. Veterans wishing to play will also need to bring their DD214 card or papers for proof.

Note that green fees will apply to non-veteran golfers.

In addition to an afternoon of free golf, guests will also enjoy free barbeque, provided by Smokee Mo’s. Dennis Walters, PGA Hall of Fame member, will also be in attendance to host a free, trick-shot golf show.

The City of Ballwin announced that they will be presenting a brand-new, handicap-accessible, single-rider cart for permanent use at the Ballwin Golf Course and Club during the event. The presentation will make the golf course only one of four Forces on the Fairways network courses across the St. Louis region, and the only one in West County.
