About Stifel Theatre
Stifel Theater is a historic, 3100 seat theater in the heart of downtown St. Louis. Originally opened in 1934 as the Kiel Opera House, the stage welcomed Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones before closing in 1991.

The building held its Grand Opening Gala with the new name Peabody Opera House on October 1, 2011, featuring Jay Leno and the late Aretha Franklin. In July 2018, the venue announced it was renamed to Stifel Theater as the naming rights were purchased by Stifel Financial Corp., a financial service holding company based in St. Louis.

The venue plays host to a wide variety of events, including concerts, comedy shows, theatricals, family shows, holiday productions, corporate events, weddings and more.
