St. Louis, Mo. – Former Missouri Secretary of State Jason Kander will be discussing his new book, Outside the Wire, with State Senator Jill Schupp on Monday, Aug. 13 at 7 p.m.
Kander was Missouri’s Secretary of State from 2013 to 2017. In June of this year, he announced that he will be running for mayor in Kansas City in 2019.
This is Kander’s third publication. In this book, he talks about the different lessons that he has learned in his everyday life and having courage. He will be available at the event to sign copies of his book.
The event, hosted by Left Bank Books, will be held at the Ethical Society in St. Louis (9001 Clayton Rd. St. Louis, MO 63117). The Ethical Society is a humanist congregation that believes in affirming human dignity, celebrating reason and working together for social change, according to their site.
Tickets are available for purchase online or at the door on Aug. 13th. A $31 ticket admits one person and includes a hardcover of Outside the Wire. A $36 ticket admits two people and includes one hardcover of Outside the Wire.
