Large multi-vehicle accident kills 1, leaves 3 injured on Reavis Barracks Road

A large accident involving multiple vehicles killed one driver and left three injured Sunday near Reavis Barracks Road.

According to the St. Louis County Police Department, at approximately 6:00 p.m. officers from the St. Louis County Police Department South County Precinct responded to the area of the 4000 block of Reavis Barracks for a vehicle accident.

Officers said a car traveling westbound on Reavis Barrack Road slammed into the back of another vehicle which caused the car to drift towards the eastbound lane, striking another vehicle. The subsequent accident caused another vehicle traveling westbound to hit the car that traveled into the eastbound lane of Reavis Barracks Road.

Three people were injured in the accident and were transported for treatment. A 48-year-old female is in extreme critical condition, a 19-year-old male driver is in stable condition, and a 19-year-old female is also in stable condition.

A 43-year-old male driver of the third vehicle was killed in the accident.

 

The police on Sunday closed both eastbound and westbound of Reavis Barracks Road between Union Road and Green Park Road.

The accident is still under investigation by the St. Louis County Police Department Bureau of Crimes Against Persons.
