Local restaurant, Bootleggin’, to ‘refresh’ its menu

ST. LOUIS – Going into its fifth year of operation, Bootleggin’ is continuing its approach of “Kansas City Style, St. Louis Made” with a refreshed menu.

“We’ve always been more than just a BBQ joint,” Brenton Brown, co-owner of Bootleggin’, said. “We’re the neighborhood corner tavern. We’ve earned the moniker ‘HQ’ from our neighborhood for being the headquarters for the start and end of all events.”

Highlights of the refreshed menu include Smashed Burgers, made with brisket ground in-house, and PBLT and Fist Bump sandwiches.

Eddie Belter, co-owner of Bootleggin’, ensured that the KC classic BBQ of burnt ends and spare ribs will stay on the menu. Also staying on the menu are the wings: smoked, fried, and tossed in housemade sauces.

“They’re our most popular item and reflect our STL made philosophy,” Belter said.

The refreshed menu is available now at Bootleggin’ (1933 Washington Ave., downtown St. Louis).
