One man was arrested Tuesday night after a police chase and armed robbery in Jennings, St. Louis County police said.
Donte Mann, 20, of the 200 block of South Harvey Avenue in Ferguson was charged for one count of robbery, one count of armed criminal action, and one count of resisting arrest on Wednesday, police said.
The chase for Mann ended with a crash in an alley at Hodiamont Avenue and Delmar Boulevard in St. Louis. No one was reported injured.
The pursuit began a little before 8 p.m. Tuesday evening, when officers responded to an armed robbery at a GameStop on West Florissant Avenue in Jennings, St. Louis County Police Spokesman Benjamin Granda said.
Officers saw a vehicle that matched the description of one being looked for in connection with the robbery in the 6900 block of West Florissant Avenue, Granda added. The officers tried to stop the car but Mann fled before officers pursued.
The pursuit ended shortly thereafter when Mann struck a utility pole and dumpster in an alley in the 5900 block of Delmar Boulevard, Granda said.
A gun, mask and items stolen in the robbery were recovered inside the vehicle.
Three police cars were damaged during the pursuit when a police car from a St. Louis County municipality joined the pursuit and struck two St. Louis County Police vehicles, Granda said.
