On Thursday, August 2, 2018, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued charges on Suspect Angleo Pullem, 20 years of age, of the 10400 block of Royal Drive in St. Louis, Missouri 63138 for one count of each of the following: Domestic Assault in the First Degree, Armed Criminal Action, Resisting/Interfering with Arrest for a Felony, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Pullem is being held on a $100,000 cash only bond. A photo of Pullem is attached.
According to the probable cause statement: The defendant purposefully placed his three year old child in the middle of a road and then went to his trunk and pulled out a Smith and Wesson .380 caliber revolver, which he used to shoot at a vehicle that his child and his child’s mother were in. When the defendant shot at the vehicle, a stray bullet shot into a nearby home. Six hours later, the police attempted to arrest the defendant and he led them on a foot pursuit and hid behind tires constantly concealing his hands and had to be tased to be taken into custody.
The incident began with a call for service involving domestic violence on August 1, 2018 at approximately 7:50 PM in in the area of Garesche Avenue and Hamilton Avenue within the City of Jennings. Later, on August 2, 2018 at approximately 12:31 AM, the suspect vehicle was observed traveling in the 9100 block of Halls Ferry Road by officers in marked Jennings Police vehicles. The officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop of the vehicle; however, the suspect vehicle fled and a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit culminated shortly after in the 1400 block of East De Soto when the suspect vehicle became disabled after striking a curb. The suspect fled on foot, but was ultimately arrested.
A firearm was recovered. No officers or uninvolved citizens were injured in the incident. There were no vehicle accidents besides the suspect’s vehicle striking the curb.
