Metro Transit to offer special Mardi Gras shuttle, March 2

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Metro Transit will offer special shuttle service on Saturday, March 2nd, making it easy for friends, families, parade-goers and revelers to enjoy all of the Soulard Mardi Gras fun and festivities, safely and conveniently.

For just $5, those headed to the celebration in the Soulard area south of downtown St. Louis, can enjoy round-trip service on a special Mardi Gras shuttle to avoid road construction, street closures, traffic jams and searching for parking.

The shuttle will operate between the Civic Center Transit Center at 14th and Spruce Streets in downtown St. Louis and the celebration in Soulard from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on March 2nd.

The shuttles will leave approximately every 10 minutes from the Civic Center Transit Center, and will drop off and pick up passengers in Soulard on 10th Street between Carroll and Marion Streets, in the heart of the Mardi Gras celebration.

The $5 round-trip shuttle passes can only be purchased on March 2nd at the Civic Center Transit Center. No other Metro passes or fares are valid for the shuttle. The shuttle pass is not valid for use on MetroLink, MetroBus or Metro Call-A-Ride.

MetroLink trains will operate every 20 minutes on the Red Line and Blue Line on March 2, with trains arriving and departing every 10 minutes at the Civic Center Transit Center and at all MetroLink stations between the Forest Park-DeBaliviere and Fairview Heights Stations.

MetroLink platforms will be monitored for crowds throughout the day, and extra MetroLink service will be added, if needed.

No alcohol is permitted on Metro Transit vehicles or on Metro Transit property. Backpacks and coolers will not be allowed at the Soulard Mardi Gras.
