Detectives with the St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a person of interest.
The person of interest is Donte Sproling (pictured below), a 28-year-old male, whose last known address was in the 600 block of Robert Avenue in Ferguson, Missouri. He is 5-foot-2 and approximately 140 lbs.
Sproling is wanted for questioning regarding the homicide of Stanley Taylor, a 54-year-old male.
At approximately 11:00 p.m. on October 6, the Northwoods Police Department requested the assistance of the St. Louis County Police Department Bureau of Crimes Against Persons for a homicide that occurred in a residence located in the 6900 block of Forest Hill Drive.
Officers from the St. Louis County Police Department Central County Precinct responded to the call to assist with scene management. Taylor was located inside the residence suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The investigation is still ongoing, according to police.
It is believed that Sproling, who should be considered armed and dangerous, may have cut and/or re-styled his hair since the incident
