Representative Mackey to speak at Clayton Township Democrats meeting

UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. – The Clayton Township Democrats will hold its first meeting of 2019 on Thursday, January 24th.

Dedicating last year to listening and learning, Clayton Township Democrats brought speakers including The League of Women Voters and Stephen Webber to learn about the ballot issues from experts.

At Thursday’s meeting, Clayton Township Democrats will start the year off with being informed for 2019 and 2020. The meeting will start at 7:00 pm at the University City Library.

Thursday’s meeting is expected to include:
State Representative Ian Mackey, who will discuss his immediate focus and actions for the first quarter;
Sharing the new Clayton Township Democrats website;
Acceptance of the modified By-Laws;
Discussion and request for Officer nominations; and
Join the Township/Renew membership for 2019

“We are looking for an interested male-community citizen who could learn more about a more active role in representing our township in the county,” Clayton Township Democrats said.

Membership to the Clayton Township Democrats is $25, with discounts or waivers offered for individual consideration.

Thursday, January 24th @ 7:00 pm, U City Library – last chance to join or renew membership before 2019 officer nominations and elections at the February meeting. By-laws approved.
Tuesday, February 19th @ 7:00 pm, Pasta House (8213 Delmar Blvd.) – officer nominations and elections
Thursday, March 21st @ 7:00 pm, U City Library
