SSM Health in St. Louis is welcoming Hsieng Su, MD, as its new vice president for medical affairs and chief medical officer.
In her new role with SSM Health, Dr. Su is responsible for the overall direction and coordination of medical affairs for the eight SSM Health hospitals in St. Louis. She will work with the hospital Chief Medical Officers and the SSM Health System Chief Quality Officer to coordinate patient safety, quality, regulatory and patient experience activities for the region.

Dr. Su comes to SSM Health from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she was chief medical officer for Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center, the largest hospital in the state and the flagship hospital of Aurora Health Care. In that role Dr. Su was responsible for quality/infection prevention, performance improvement and spiritual care. She also had operational oversight for the radiology, respiratory, emergency services and rehab departments.
Dr. Su will assume her new role June 25, 2018.
