St. Louis County church breaks ground on community center

ST. LOUIS COUNTY – Shalom Church Founder, Pastor Freddy Clark, will be joined by St. Louis County ExecutiveSteve Stenger and Congressman Lacy Clay for the groundbreaking of the 40,000 ft. Shalom Dome on the grounds of Shalom Church in North St. Louis County.

The Shalom Dome is Dr. Clark’s vision to provide a family and neighborhood center with a focus on health and well-being. Upon completion, the Shalom Dome will include a three thousand square foot multi-purpose space for banquets and business meetings, a business incubator space, 2 regulation size basketball courts, a café and cafeteria and a fully equipped gym.

“Shalom Church is a spiritual and cultural beacon in our region,” St. Louis County Executive Steve Stenger said. “In addition to a state-of-the-art recreation facility, The Shalom Dome will provide space for community-based programs and services. I thank Pastor Freddy Clark and his congregation for their commitment to St. Louis County.”
