St. Louis County Police Department make arrests after carjacking and pursuit

On September 19, 2017 at approximately 3:55 AM, St. Louis County  Police officers from the North County Precinct responded to the 11100 block of Oak Parkway Lane for a call for a carjacking. A female victim was robbed at gunpoint of her vehicle and personal possessions by male subjects wearing surgical masks.

Shortly after, officers observed the vehicle, although it displayed different license plates, in the area and attempted to conduct a traffic stop of it. The vehicle fled from officers, at which time a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit went through portions of North St. Louis County, the City of Jennings, the City of Bellefontaine Neighbors, and North St. Louis City. It ended when the suspect vehicle struck a curb and then a utility pole.

Two suspects were arrested. The two arrested are adult males, 27 years of age and 21 years of age.

The victim’s vehicle was recovered as well as a firearm and surgical masks.

Our Department was assisted by officers from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department and the Bellefontaine Neighbors Police Department.

The investigation remains on-going.
