St. Louis County Police officers recovered a County Department of Transportation vehicle that was stolen Friday afternoon.
The vehicle was found at the Alliance Credit Union, located at 1280 South Highway Drive in Fenton, MO 63026 after it was taken earlier that morning.
Officers located the vehicle, which was unoccupied, during their patrols. The vehicle was painted black.
At approximately 10:31 a.m., officers from the South County Precinct responded to the intersection of Union Road and Timm Drive for a call for a stolen automobile early Friday.
As employees worked on a nearby site, the Department of Transportation truck was stolen. The vehicle was last seen traveling northbound on Union Road.
The truck, a 2008 Ford F-150, was white in color, with “St. Louis County Department of Transportation” decals and the number “659” displayed on the doors. The truck was also displaying St. Louis County government license plate number 120938.
The incident is still under investigation by the St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Property.
