St. Louis County warming shelter open 24 hours

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – St. Louis County has partnered with the Salvation Army to provide expanded warming shelter services this winter season.

“Aside from providing relief from the cold,” County Executive Steve Stenger said. “Anyone using the shelter will have access to the Salvation Army’s array of services including meals, laundry facilities and case management to help those in need find housing.”

The shelter is located at the Salvation Army Family Heaven, 10740 Page Avenue, St. Louis, Mo. 63132. Operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week between December 10, 2018 to March 15, 2019 the shelter can accommodate up to 48 individuals.

Stenger has also allocated $225,000 in federal grant money this winter to heatupstlouis.org to establish a utility assistance fund.
