St. Louis Men’s Group Against Cancer to sponsor inaugural women’s event

CLAYTON, Mo. – The St. Louis Men’s Group Against Cancer (STLMGAC) announced its sponsorship to the beginning of a tradition.

In order to follow STLMGAC’s mission in raising funds for cancer research, prevention and care, the organization has scheduled the inaugural “THE Women’s Event” to be held in April.

“We are neither gender nor age biased in that the money we raise is for men, women, pediatric and geriatric cancer research, care and prevention,” STLMGAC said. “THE Women’s Event supports these efforts and looks forward to joining forces with the St. Louis Men’s Group Against Cancer to make a difference in the battle against cancer.”

STLMGAC will celebrate is 50th anniversary this year in raising millions of dollars to help individuals who have been diagnosed with cancer. According to a news release, STLMGAC is working to raise more money this year by hosting other events including THE Women’s Event, Golf Marathon and a Bowl-a-Thon.

The news release stated that STLMGAC will continue to host their premier events, The Men’s Dinner and Radiothon. Both events have been successful fundraisers, according to STLMGAC.

THE Women’s Event will be a benefit dinner on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm at The Ritz Carlton Hotel (100 Carondelet Plaza, Clayton, Mo. 63105). The inaugural fundraiser will also feature Emmy Award-winner and author Deborah Norville, anchor at Inside Edition.

Tickets for the benefit dinner are $150.00 per person. Sponsorships are also available at varying levels for companies, organizations and individuals that are interested.
