STL County PD label suspicious death in South County as a homicide

The St. Louis County Police Department announced on Tuesday that they are labeling a South County man’s death a homicide.

Monday at approximately 4:40 p.m., St. Louis County Police officers from the South County Precinct responded to the 600 block of Bayless Avenue for a call for a check the welfare.

According to police, upon arrival they located one male victim, Jeffrey Breitenfeld51, of St. Louis, inside his residence. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

As the investigation has progressed, the suspicious death is now classified as a homicide. The investigation still remains very active and is being led by the St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons.
