National credit agency praises STL County for strong fiscal management but Councilman Page disagrees

One of the nation’s premier credit rating agencies praised St. Louis County government for budgetary management but a St. Louis County councilman says it’s not all good news. Stenger and Page at it again: only this time regarding the 2018 county budget

In a press conference held on Tuesday, St. Louis County Executive Steve Stenger rebuked Councilman Sam Page’s claims that the county budget was out of balance. Councilman Sam Page brings resolution that seeks to hire more staff in county auditor’s office

St. Louis County Councilman Sam Page plans on introducing a resolution on Tuesday that seeks to allow the County Council to fill a vacant position in the county auditor’s office. In the resolution, Page intends to seek judicial relief to direct that St. Louis County Executive Steve Stenger proceed with the hiring of sufficient audit staff and any other budgeted positions in the legislative branch of county government.
