Courts could see flurry of anti-discrimination suits before new law takes hold

Missouri courts could start seeing an influx of employment discrimination suits as a new law reversing portions of the Missouri Human Rights Act is about to go into effect. Currently, employers under the act are liable for discriminatory practices. Senate Bill 43 changes that standard when the law goes into effect Aug. 28.
