STL County Council approves legislation that appropriates salaries for domestic abuse shelter employees

The St. Louis County Council on Tuesday passed a bill that would appropriate the salaries of personnel at a domestic abuse shelter in the county. The legislation was unanimously passed 6-0, with Councilwoman Hazel Erby being absent. The bill would appropriate $46,195.61 from the Missouri Department of Public Safety to hire more employees at the shelter. The St. Louis County Police Department on Thursday identified the victim in a North County stabbing. Ada Lovett, 66, of the 1700 block of Woodstream Court, was identified as the victim in a homicide that St. Louis County Police Department North County Precinct responded to on Wednesday at approximately 2:45 p.m. Upon arrival, officers located a Lovett inside the house.
