C-SPAN and Spectrum will visit a variety of St. Louis region schools starting Wednesday to celebrate winners for C-SPAN’s annual student video documentary competition. Both C-SPAN and Spectrum will celebrate students efforts in the documentary competition, StudentCam which announced the winners in March. After weeks of discussion, St. Louis County Councilwoman Hazel Erby will re-draft legislation that originally sought to put new requirements regarding the county’s animal shelter director position. St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson and St. Louis County Executive Steve Stenger sent a letter to Governor Eric Greitens on Wednesday requesting that he fill a long vacant position on the Bi-State Development Agency board. Special prosecutor asks for the removal of St. Louis County Councilman Ernie Trakas for violating county charter

A St. Charles County special prosecutor on Saturday asked the St. Louis County courts to remove Councilman Ernie Trakas from his position, deeming that he violated the county charter by working for three area school districts. According to Tim Lohmar, a St. Charles County prosecutor, Trakas violated the charter by providing contracted legal work for Sikeston, Cape Girardeau, and Jefferson City.
