Teenager arrested for Jennings carjacking

A teenager has been accused of carjacking a person at gunpoint in Jennings last July, police said Thursday.

Teryon Weeden, 18, of Berkeley, was charged with one count of robbery and one count of armed criminal action after allegedly taking a victim’s vehicle in the 6400 block of West Florissant Avenue around 10 a.m. on July 16.

According to the probable cause statement, the defendant was identified as the person who stole the victim’s vehicle at gunpoint.

Weeden is being held on a cash-only bond of $100,000.
