U.S. Bank wild lights opens Nov. 23rd at the Saint Louis Zoo

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The U.S. Bank Wild Lights at the Saint Louis Zoo with 1 million twinkling lights of a wild, artic wonderland is ready for some festive family fun.

Event Dates for 2018 Wild Lights (open 5:30-8:30 pm) are:
Friday-Sunday, Nov. 23rd-25th
Wednesday-Sunday, Nov. 28th-Dec. 2nd
Monday, Dec. 10th – Sensory Night for individuals with autism spectrum and others who may benefit from a sensory-friendly experience
Dec. 12th-23rd, nightly
Dec. 26th-30th, nightly

Tickets can be purchased in advance here or at the door on nights of the event starting at 5:30 pm. Ticket sales and event entrances will close at 8:00 pm. Monday-Thursday tickets are $8 for members and $9 for non-members, Friday-Sunday tickets are $10 for members and $11 for non-members and Sensory Night tickets are $8 for members and $9 for non-members (tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance for this night). Children under the age of two will be admitted for free. There is also free parking available on Zoo parking lots during event hours.

Groups of 15 or more can receive a group rate of $8 per person on weekdays and $10 per person on weekends by calling in advance. To order call, 314-646-4781. Tickets must be ordered by 11:00 am Monday-Friday only.

There are multiple activities for all ages of the family to enjoy during the Wild Lights.

Holiday Lights and Activities
Families will be enchanted by whimsical animal-themed displays throughout the Zoo, including a larger-than-life swan family, towering giraffes, an illuminated penguin colony and more. Families can visit the cool birds at Penguin & Puffin Coast and warp up in the tropics of the Monsanto Insectarium where they will see colorful insects from around the world. *These are only animal exhibits open at night during the event.

Children can take part in winter crafts and activities and meet costumed characters. Enjoy holiday carolers and other strolling live performances on weekend nights.

Families can also climb aboard their favorite animal on the Mary Ann Lee Conservation Carousel and chill out in the 4D Theater featuring “The Polar Express 4D Experience”. Rides are free with event admission and operate weather permitting.

Food and Shopping
Attendees can roast their own campfire s’mores (available for purchase) at one of the fire pits. Enjoy dinner, snacks, hot chocolate, holiday drinks and more available at the food locations throughout the Zoo. Shop for a variety of unique gifts at Zoo gift shops and receive a 10 percent discount on any purchase; Zoo members receive a 20 percent discount.

The Zoo will close to the public at 4:00 pm each day of Wild Lights. Doors re-open at 5:30 pm for the event. For more information go here.
