Advocates of Planned Parenthood endorse St. Louis Board of Aldermen

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Advocates of Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri, a nonprofit organization that engages in education, lobbying and organizing activities, announced its endorsements in the St. Louis Board of Aldermen primary election.

On Monday, Pat Hickey, Ward 10; Tony Pecinovsky, Ward 14 and Tonya Finley McCaw, Ward 22 were endorsed by the organization.

Angie Postal, vice president for education, policy and community engagement for Advocates, said all three candidates represent what Advocates of Planned Parenthood believes, access to high-quality, accessible, affordable reproductive and sexual health care is not something that is up for a political debate.

“Advocates of Planned Parenthood is very fortunate in St. Louis to have such overwhelming community support, including the vast majority of Board of Aldermen candidates,” Postal said. “Regrettably, there are some elected leaders who do not share our commitment to ensuring Planned Parenthood’s patients can access the health care they need. We have an opportunity to elect new alders who do.”

Voting for the St. Louis primary election will be held on March 5th.
