Clayton, MO – Brian Robbins is joining the Clayton Times as a reporter covering state, county, and municipal politics. Illinois political observers will recognize him from his previous position covering the Illinois state house for the State Journal-Register in Springfield, Illinois.
Robbins holds a Master’s degree in Public Affairs Reporting from the University of Illinois Springfield.
A Metro East native, Robbins said, “I am very excited to join a startup publication covering issues that affect my hometown and region. There are some great stories to tell here in Clayton, and I’m excited to get started.”
The Clayton Times is a startup media property that launched this month, covering the political, legal, business, and entertainment communities in Clayton, the county seat of St. Louis County.
“I am proud to announce that such an outstanding journalist will be writing for the Clayton Times, bringing a new and exciting take on issues that affect everyone in Clayton and St. Louis County,” said Scott Faughn, Publisher of the Clayton Times.
Robbins comes to the Clayton Times with several years of experience reporting on a number of topics such as education, crime, and even entertainment including video games, comics and movies. Brian also has a lot to share with Clayton as his passions are watching the St. Louis Blues, playing tennis and video games, and has an uncanny resemblance to former Spider-Man, Andrew Garfield.
