Clayton to host lunch event to celebrate the St. Louis Blues home opener

Clayton will host lunch event for Blues home opener, special appearances by Louie and a former St. Louis Blues veteran.

To celebrate the St. Louis Blues home opener in October, the City of Clayton will host a lunch gathering at Clayton City Hall.

On Friday, Oct. 6, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Clayton will host a home opener lunch that will include music, a photo booth with hockey props and offer raffle prizes and giveaways.

Additionally, St. Louis Blues mascot Louie will make an appearance along with an unannounced former St. Louis Blues player.

The lunch is free, and guests are encouraged to wear their Blues gear during the event.

The first game of the season at the newly renovated Scott Trade Center will be against the Dallas Stars at 8 p.m. on Saturday, which is now led by former Blues coach Ken Hitchcock.

Hitchcock served as the Blues head coach from Nov. 2011 to Feb. 2017 when he was replaced by Mike Yeo after a record of 24-21-5 which placed the St. Louis Blues fourth in the division.
