Clayton starts off hockey season with home opener lunch

CLAYTON – Clayton City Hall kicked off hockey season with a “Blues Home Opener Lunch” for Clayton residents and workers.

Thursday afternoon City Hall hosted a free lunch for everyone in Clayton with giveaways, a photo booth, hockey, guest appearances and music.

“The hot dogs are delicious,” Mayor Harold Sanger said.

Clayton residents and workers were able to enjoy hot dogs and a nacho bar with friends and music.

At the entrance, everyone was given raffle tickets to place in different buckets for a chance to win some St. Louis Blues gear.

“The crowd was here before we were ready to go and have been coming in and out for the last 45 minutes,” Sanger said. “All you have to do is give people free food and a beautiful day.”

The community was able to come together to celebrate the Blues with fun and entertainment.

“Love for Clayton and love for the Blues,” Sanger said.
