Double homicide in City of Kinloch

KINLOCH, Mo. – At approximately 2:00 am on Monday, officers from the St. Louis County Police Department Central County Precinct responded to the 5500 block of Tuttle for a report of a shooting.

Officers reported that upon arrival, an adult male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound was pronounced dead on the scene and one adult female victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound died from her injuries in the ambulance on the way to the local hospital.

The incident, under investigation by the St. Louis County Police Department Bureau of Crimes Against Persons, has revealed that there were at least four people, including the two deceased victims mentioned above and two who were not injured, inside a vehicle near the 5500 block of Tuttle when the shooting occurred.

The two uninjured victims include an adult female and a three-year-old.

At approximately 11:00 am on Monday, the St. Louis County Police Department requested public assistance in locating a vehicle. The vehicle is described as being a 2014 Mercedes Benz C300, 4-door sedan, silver in color and temporary tags.

Police say that the vehicle was taken by at least one suspect after the shooting occurred. The police reported on Monday that they are still not aware of the motive.

Police reported that the deceased male was positively identified as Richard Berry, 39, of Florissant, Mo. and the deceased female was positively identified as Destiny Howard, 21, of St. Louis, Mo.

The Mercedes Benz, which was in question, has been located in North County.
