Family law attorney joins one of St. Louis’ top firms

CLAYTON – Prominent family law attorney, Cary J. Mogerman will join one of St. Louis’ top law firms, Carmody MacDonald P.C., as a shareholder.

Carmody MacDonald offers business, individual, and litigation services to its clients. The firm’s clients coordinate among their multi-focus areas to provide legal services in addressing virtually every aspect of each client’s corporate and individual needs.

Listed in the directory, “Best Lawyers in America – Family Law,” for the past 20 years and named “St. Louis’ Lawyer of the Year – Family Law,” two different times, Mogerman’s practice focuses on “complex” matrimonial cases which involve business owners, professional practices, trusts, and executive compensation in both privately held and publicly traded corporations.

Mogerman received his J.D. at Washington University-St. Louis and his Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science at Drake University in Iowa. He currently serves as vice president of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and as a member of the executive committee of the American College of Family Trial Lawyers. Since 2017, he has served as one of six members of the Missouri Commission on the Retirement, Removal, and Discipline of Judges. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and also served as a member of the board of directors of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Foundation.

In addition to his book, which he co-authored with Joseph Kodner, A Guide to Divorce in Missouri – Simple Answers to Complex Questions, Mogerman is one of the 100 Diplomates of the American College Family Trial Lawyers.

Mogerman has been recognized as the Show Me State’s “Super Lawyer” and designated a “Top 50” lawyer in St. Louis and a “Top 100” lawyer by the Missouri/Kansas “Super Lawyers” publication.

His longtime colleagues, attorneys Mary E. Niemire and Joseph J. Kodner, will be joining him in the move to Carmody MacDonald P.C.

Mogerman said his team will continue to represent their current clients after the move and that there should be no interruption in their services to their clientele.
