Fontbonne University Fine Arts Exhibition to showcase history and persecution of Native Americans

CLAYTON, Mo. – The Fontbonne University Fine Arts Department will present Sitting Bull S**t: The Quiet History and Persecution of Native Americans by St. Louis artist Craig Norton.

Through this free exhibition, Norton said he hopes to “evoke curiosity” to discover the truth about the history of Native Americans. His art consists of pen drawings, paints and mixed media.

“This show is a great example of Fontbonne University as a whole,” Anthony Borchardt, assistant arts professor and director of the Gallery of Art at Fontbonne University, said. “The acknowledgment that we need to treat all persons equally and find ways to be proactive and work toward ending social injustices.”
