Heartland Hyperloop, Inc. joins Missouri Hyperloop Coalition

This story is part of a multi-part series on the hyperloop

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Missouri Hyperloop Coalition released the announcement of their collaboration with Virgin Hyperloop One in leading efforts to bring the first ever hyperloop system to Missouri. Shortly after the Coalition’s announcement, news of Travis Brown and former-Speaker of the House Steve Tilly beginning Heartland Hyperloop, Inc., a Missouri 501(c)(4) that is dedicated to bringing a Hyperloop track to Missouri spanning along 1-70 from Kansas City to St. Louis was also released.

The Missouri Hyperloop Coalition, which includes the St. Louis Regional Chamber, University of Missouri System, Department of Economic Development, KC Tech Council and more, was not part of the nonprofit form started by Brown and Tilley. However, both groups did begin to speak with each other about the new form of transformation and what it can bring to the people of Missouri.

Missouri Hyperloop Coalition announced on Friday their excitement of Heartland Hyperloop, Inc. joining the Coalition.

“Heartland Hyperloop, Inc. is a welcome addition to the Missouri Hyperloop Coalition,” Andrew Smith, Co-Chairman of the Missouri Hyperloop Coalition said. “The team members of Heartland Hyperloop, Inc. have a strong record of delivering success on transformational initiatives.”

Missouri has the potential of becoming a global winner with the ideal route running from Kansas City to St. Louis which will help to strengthen collaboration across the Show-Me State.

“Our coalition is dedicated to uniting a coordinated regulatory framework that delivers a brand new mode of transportation across our state’s rights of way. For this to be successful in Missouri, it will take local community support, state-directed leadership and a regulatory framework that conforms to federal law,” Ryan Weber, Co-Chairman of the Missouri Hyperloop Coalition said.

Heartland Hyperloop, Inc. plans to support coalition work immediately by formalizing a project communications site, surveying community interests and sharing further milestones about other global platforms under study or development.

“It’s exciting to see the feasibility results and progress of the coalition date. Heartland Hyperloop, Inc. is dedicated to one unified plan to helping Missouri move this opportunity forward,” Brown said.
