Mike Bernskoetter has filed to run for 6th District State Senate seat as a Republican. The 6th District encompasses Cole, Gasconade, Maries, Miller, Moniteau, Morgan, and Osage Counties.
“After prayer, careful consideration, and encouragement from my family and hundreds of friends and supporters, I walked to the Secretary of State’s office to file to run for the State Senate. I’ve served our community for years as a small business owner and as a State Representative, and I look forward to continuing to serve Mid-Missouri in the State Senate.”
Mike has already received the support from many local leaders endorsing his campaign, including current State Senator Mike Kehoe, “Mike Bernskoetter is a man of character and has a public-servants heart. His background as a small-business owner, his strong conservative values, and his common senses approach to problem-solving are what we need in the Missouri Senate. Mike Bernskoetter is exactly what many of the citizens in the 6th Senate district tell me they look for and want in their next State Senator,” said Senator Mike Kehoe.
As State Senator, Mike will continue to invest in the future by investing in education and technical training programs. He will work to keep taxes low and minimize the burden of regulations on our family farms and small businesses. And as the Senator for Missouri’s State Capitol, Mike will fight for our state employees to ensure they receive the compensation they deserve.
“I am running for the state senate to secure the American Dream for the next generation. I want to do everything I can to make sure our kids and grandkids have the same opportunities for success that we had growing up. I believe it is one of our fundamental responsibilities to leave our kids with a state and country better off than we found it and that is exactly what I plan to do in the Missouri Senate,” said Bernskoetter.
Mike has been married to his wife Jeannette for 38 years and together they own and operate Art’s Pest Control in Jefferson City. They have run this small family business for almost 32 years. Together they have 4 children and six grandchildren. Mike is a fifth generation Cole County resident.
