ST. LOUIS – The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis is taking a new pink twist to their popular Saturday Afternoon Tea.
During the month of Oct., the hotel will be supporting breast cancer patients through a series of four Pink Ribbon Teas.
Net proceeds from the annual non-profit teas will benefit the locally-based, Gateway to Hope.
Gateway to Hope is a breast cancer lifeline whose mission “is to secure comprehensive care and provide financial assistance” for in-need individuals who are either diagnosed with or at high risk of developing breast cancer.
This year’s Saturday Teas will be offered Oct. 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th when the hotel will transform its Afternoon Tea into a Pink Ribbon Tea. Seatings occur at 11:30 am and 1:30 pm. Pricing for the teas: $59 for adults; $39 for children ages 5-12; includes valet parking.
Each tea will be complete with finger sandwiches, freshly-baked scones, and selected sweet treats that are created or garnished in pink. There will also be pink Champagne available for guests who would like to upgrade to the “royal” version of tea.
Throughout the month of the hotel’s Pink Ribbon Tea, guests and area residents are given the opportunity to celebrate a loved one, survivor or patient by leaving a personalized pink ribbon on a pink ribbon tree. The tree will be displayed in the hotel lobby during all of Oct.
Guests are also able to continue the pink celebration with the Ritz-Carlton’s annual Pink Ribbons & Sweet Dreams. This weekend overnight package will be available throughout Oct.
Guests who choose to partake in the Pink Ribbons & Sweet Dreams will receiver “luxury accommodations, breakfast for two, Pink Ribbons and Sweet Dreams Turndown Service including a chef-designed pink amenity, and pink ribbons for guests to personalize and display on the hotel lobby’s pink ribbon tree”. Pricing for the overnight stay starts at $399 per night and is based on availability.
