The public and Metro riders will have an opportunity to see the redesigned and expanded Civic Center Transit Center before MetroBus service officially resumes there on August 14 at a Public Open House on Friday, August 11. The public can catch a free ride to the event during the lunch hour on the #99 Downtown Trolley and MetroLink in downtown St. Louis to get to the festivities, which will feature food, music, a bus painting and appearances from Fredbird and Louie.
The open house is scheduled for Friday, August 11, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Civic Center Transit Center. Attendees will be able to see the new features for customers – including an indoor waiting area, public restrooms and digital arrival-time boards – while enjoying live music, lunch purchased from one of three local food trucks, an Art in Motion bus painting event, and visits from the St. Louis Cardinals’ Fredbird and the St. Louis Blues’ Louie.
