St. Louis County Executive announces Harvey relief effort

Clayton, MO – (September 13, 2017) St. Louis County Executive Steve Stenger is joining The Demetrious Johnson Charitable Foundation and St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson to help residents of Houston, Texas affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Devastating winds, torrential rain, and historic floods caused by Hurricane Harvey impacted the lives of millions in Texas and along the Gulf Coast.

On Saturday, September 16th, volunteers will be collecting new or used furniture, clothing, blankets, sheets, pillows, toiletries and home-related accessories to deliver to the Houston area. Three donation sights will be open on Saturday from 8:00AM-6:00PM. Non-perishable items are NOT being collected.

The three tractor trailer trucks will caravan to Houston to deliver all donations.

Every donation will go directly to helping those affected by Hurricane Harvey.
