On Wednesday night, police officers responded to an armed carjacking in North County.
An adult female was robbed of her vehicle and personal possessions at gunpoint near the 10000 block of Nevile Walk in St. Louis.
The victim was carjacked while she attempting to enter her residence.
According to the St. Louis County Police Department, the victim was not harmed.
A few hours later, officers from the St. Louis County Police from the City of Jennings Precinct noticed the vehicle four miles south and attempted a traffic stop. The carjacked vehicle fled when the 18-year-old suspect crashed the vehicle into a brick wall near Highway 70 eastbound entrance.
According to a press release, the victim’s vehicle and firearm were recovered.
