Suspect sought in South County Walgreens robbery

St. Louis County Police are looking for a white male, approximately 40 years old, average height with a medium build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a maroon T-Shirt with an eagle outstretched on front, dark jean shorts, white hat, and black rimmed glasses.

Police say that at approximately 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, a suspect entered the Walgreens at 2700 Telegraph Road. He walked around and then made his way to the register with merchandise in his hand and contacted the clerk. When the clerk opened the register drawer to complete a transaction, the suspect overpowered her and removed U.S. currency from the drawer. The suspect then fled the store on foot.

Police think he fled in a newer model, blue Toyota Avalon with Missouri license plates.

During this investigation, it was learned that two additional Walgreens Stores in the St. Louis area were targeted in the previous twenty four hours by an individual matching the same physical description, in the same manner.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Officer Michael Moore at the South County Precinct at (314) 615-0162.
