Wagner endorsed by Missouri Farm Bureau

ST. LOUIS – Missouri Farm Bureau’s St. Louis Regional Endorsement Committee voted unanimously to endorse Congresswoman Ann Wagner on Tuesday.

Wagner is running for re-election in Missouri’s Second Congressional District. She was interviewed at the Stemme Farm in Maryland Heights before being endorsed.

“Over the past six years Congresswoman Wagner has proven that she is committed to farmers in the St. Louis area,” said Denny Mertz, trustee of the St. Louis Regional Endorsement Committee.

“Agriculture is the top economic driver in the state of Missouri,” said Wagner. “I am honored to have the endorsement of the Missouri Farm Bureau.”

Wagner said that she will continue to promote free and fair trade while in Washington.

“[I will continue] to advocate for Missouri’s hardworking farmers and push back against burdensome regulations that hinder agribusiness throughout the Midwest,” said Wagner.

“[Wagner] has consistently supported the issues that matter to the farming community and has been a friend to agriculture,” said Mertz.
