A fan favorite for watching soccer games and grabbing a good bite to eat, Barrister’s in Clayton has closed its doors.
According to a Facebook post, Barrister’s, which opened its doors in 2015, has closed due to “a few unforeseen personal circumstances develop that will require our full and undivided attention.”
Sam and Kristie Boctor, the owners, officially shut the doors for good on Nov. 10.
“This month we are reminded more than ever of just how much we have to be thankful for. As Sam and I look back on the past two and a half years of owning and managing Barrister’s, we’ve experienced countless blessings, made so many new friends, and we’ve had the opportunity to grow our business in a community that we love,” the post said.
The Boctors bought Barrister’s in Clayton from Tilford Restaurant Group two years ago. The restaurant was well known by consumers for its pub-like atmosphere and consistently opened early for English Premier League, Bundesliga and World Cup soccer games, accommodating to its loyal fans.
Barrister’s was located at 7923 Forsyth Blvd., which St. Louis County records show was appraised for $2.1 million.
It is unknown at this time what will replace Barrister’s.
