Deanna Finch named new United 4 Children executive director

The promotion comes after Finch served as interim co-executive director

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The United 4 Children Board of Directors has appointed Deanna Finch as the nonprofit’s new executive director, effective January 1, 2019.

Alongside Daryl Rothman, Finch has served as interim co-executive director since June of 2018 with multiple achievements, including securing grants from Enterprise Holdings Foundation and the Community Impact Network to help expand the organization’s programs further and help more children throughout the St. Louis area.

“During this time, Deanna really stepped up as a leader and gained the confidence of our Board of Directors,” Mike Mueller, United 4 Children Chairman of the Board said. “It is our pleasure to be able to appoint Deanna as the new executive director of United 4 Children. Deanna’s appointment will allow us to continue to grow and take us to the next level so that we can provide educational opportunities for children throughout our region and give them the attention they deserve,”

Finch first joined United 4 Children as a board member in August of 2014. In September 2015, Finch became the development officer and event director – a position that she has continued to fill, even while serving as the interim co-executive director. Finch is excited for the opportunity to take on the Executive Director role in a permanent capacity.

“I’m honored to be given this opportunity to continue to make a difference in the lives of children all around our region. Everyone involved at United 4 Children is passionate about giving all children the chance to reach their true potential, so to be able to lead that effort permanently is really exciting for me,” Finch said.

Finch will be assisted in the role by Rothman, who has been announced as the program officer for the organization.

The Board of Directors said they were extremely pleased that Finch and Rothman will continue to work closely together, leading the agency after a successful period as co-executive directors.
