Peel Wood-Fired Pizza has plans to open their restaurant in the first-floor retail area at 212 South Meramec Ave.
According to Co-owner Patrick Thirion, they have submitted their conditional use permit to the City of Clayton and are waiting for the board to review.
“We are very excited about the opportunity to be part of such a great municipality,” Thirion said in a written statement. “We have been researching multiple locations and decided that Clayton could be a great location for our brand.”
Peel Wood-Fired Pizza specializes in pizza but also features wood-fired wings, salads, sandwiches, and desserts along with a craft beer selection.
The restaurant also plans to open a Peel Brewing Company at their O’Fallon, Ill., location, featuring an extensive list of beers.
The City of Clayton’s Plan Commission/Architectural Review Board will discuss the restaurant’s conditional use permit at its Aug. 28 meeting.
