Improvements to roadways may be coming to St. Louis County’s 5th District

At the St. Louis County Council meeting on Tuesday, Councilman Pat Dolan introduced three bills that seek to improve roadways within the area.

Dolan, who represents the 5th District, which includes Clayton, introduced a bill that seeks to provide professional engineering and land surveying services to various improvements to Hanley Road from Dale to Manchester.

The engineering contract for the roadways would be with Burns & McDonnell Engineering Company Inc. in an amount that wouldn’t exceed $255,000.

Additionally, Dolan introduced a bill that would authorize an agreement with Washington University in St. Louis for pedestrian and bicycle improvements along Big Bend Boulevard and Forest Park Parkway.

Also, read on Tuesday was Dolan’s bill that would authorize a $150,000 contract with Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc., that would provide engineering and land surveying serves for the rehabilitation or replacement of the Heege Road Bridge.

All three bills will now move to perfection starting next week.
