Spot highlights Mantovani’s roots in the region and his plan to move St. Louis County forward
St. Louis, MO (February 23, 2018) — Mark Mantovani, Democratic candidate for St. Louis County Executive, is the first campaign out of the blocks in a television advertising campaign for the August 7 primary election.
The Mantovani for STL campaign today released “Hometown,” an introductory :60 second TV ad highlighting Mantovani’s roots growing up in Affton, raising his family here in St. Louis County and his experience helping grow a tech business – creating hundreds of jobs in the region.
“This is our city and our county – I love it; but I’m worried about it,” Mantovani says in the 60-second spot. “We were once the 10th largest; now we’re 61st. Amazon didn’t take us seriously and jobs are passing us by. I want to change that and build a county government that’s transparent and committed to fairness and equality.”
Grant Campbell, Campaign Manager for the Mantovani campaign, commented on the introduction ad saying:
“Mark’s message of leadership and collaboration, vs. doing the same old thing, is resonating with voters across the region,” said Campbell. “Our campaign continues to build strong support and gain momentum. This ad engages directly with the voters of St. Louis County, encouraging them to imagine what’s possible if they stand up to break the status quo of questionable politics and dysfunctional leadership that have become the cornerstones of our current County Executive.”
Other key points from the spot include:
Revitalizing the region and growing the economy with bold, innovative leadership.
Bringing the county and city together – not through a merger, but through greater coordination to enhance investment, attract business and create jobs.
Spotlighting Mark’s family background – grandson of an Italian immigrant; son of a two-time Bronze star veteran who sold paint, first generation to go to college. Mark and his wife Patty have three children.
