A woman from Troy, Mo., is accused of stealing narcotics over several months while employed at Mason Pointe Lutheran Senior Services in Town and Country.
Charging documents say Amy Michelle Johnson, 37, faces a Class D felony for stealing oxycodone, morphine, and other controlled substances from March 1 to July 7, 2017.
Court documents allege an internal investigation showed she had “stolen numerous doses over several months”. The facility uses an automated machine that dispenses medication; staff accessing that machine must provide a unique PIN and fingerprint. Information from the machine and video surveillance implicates Johnson in accessing the drugs several times and entering patient names that those medications had not been prescribed to.
