The former home of the Katie’s Pizza Cafe in Clayton could have a new look next year.
6611 Clayton Partners LLC is planning $625,000 in renovations to turn the former home of the popular pizza joint at 6611 Clayton Road into space for retail and offices.
The renovations, according to plans filed with the city of Clayton Plan Commission, will include a new plumbing system and flooring. Additionally, the new plans call for a new awning and window improvements on the outside of the building.
Renovations are expected to be complete by early 2018.
Katie’s Pizza Cafe’s closed in March after nine years in Clayton. A second Katie’s Pizza and Pasta location opened at the Clayton Village Shopping Center in Town & Country earlier this year.
6611 Clayton Partners bought the building in August for $1.3 million. The building has an appraised value of $1.2 million, according to St. Louis County records.
Idea Architects will be the designer of the renovation, according to the plans, which will be considered by the city of Clayton’s Plan Commission and Architectural Review Board on Monday, Dec. 18.
