Plenty of Labor Day weekend events planned for the St. Louis area

With Labor Day weekend soon approaching, St. Louis residents will have no problem finding fun activities to partake within the city.

There are a plethora of events that will celebrate summer 2017’s last big hurrah with festivals, art shows and much more.

One event that’s in the immediate St. Louis County area, would be the Fall Art Fair at Queeny Park. Running from Sept. 1 to 3 at the park’s Greensfelder Recreation Center. The event will feature up to 130 local and national artists, with their work available to purchase at the event as well. Tickets to the art fair cost $5 per person.

Japanese Festival

If you’re looking for one of the largest and oldest Japanese Festivals, the Missouri Botanical Garden plays host to the event Sept. 3 to 5. The event will feature music, dancing, and visitors can learn about cultural traditions of Japan such as Origami.

If you’re willing to go downtown, Laclede’s Landing will play host to the Big Muddy Blues Festival, which will feature over 40 local and national blues bands. Admission for the event is $12 a person, or if attendees plan on staying for both days — there’s also a two-day pass for $20.
